APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:
There are two types of membership: Voting and Non-voting

Voting Membership
Any organization interested in joining the Animal Welfare Federation of New Jersey that meets the eligibility requirements may apply for voting membership. Any organization interested in the purposes for which the Federation has been incorporated, and which desires to support the Federation.s programs and which meets the eligibility requirements may apply for voting membership in the Federation. Application must be made in writing. A majority of the Board must approve all applications. Each voting member is entitled to only one (1) vote. Voting must be done in person by a delegate of the member organization. Voting by proxy is not allowed. Only organizations may be voting members.
  1. Application for membership will be reviewed and voted upon by the Board of Directors.
  2. Any sheltering facility applying for membership must meet the minimum standards of care as set forth by applicable governing agencies. (Please snailmail, fax, or email a copy of your most recent inspection report from the applicable governing agency after finishing this application..)
  3. Any companion animal adoption facility applying for membership must have written prescreening, spay/neuter and adoption policies. (Please snailmail, fax, or email a copy of these policies after finishing this application.)

Non-Voting Membership
Any individual or organization wishing to attend Federation meetings, or receive Federation publications, may do so upon payment of yearly dues. Non-voting members may not vote nor hold office in the Federation, but with the permission of the Board of Directors may participate in general business. The Board may also appoint honorary non-voting members at its discretion.

Annual Dues
All applications for both voting and non-voting membership must include a check for annual dues. The fee for voting membership is based on the organization.s budget as follows:

Voting Membership:
Up to $100,000 = $40
$100,000 - 150,000 = $50
$150,000 - 250,000 = $75
$250,000 - 350,000 = $100
More than $350K = $150

Non- Voting Membership: Non-Voting Individual = $15
Non-Voting Organization = $25
